I have my Grandfathers stamp collection that has been in storage since before 1970. It includes stamps, first covers, mint sheets and postcards dating back to the 1890’s. The majority of the stamps are pre-1940 and include several Migratory Duck Stamps and are loose, on cards and in stamp album’s. There are several blocks of 2, 4, 6 and 8. Is there a market for this collection? It also includes over 100 different stamps from Germany in the 1930’s and 1940’s. They appear to show military propaganda.
The duck stamps are the first issues but they look to be stained so likely not worth very much in that condition. The sheet of 13 cents stamps are worth face value. 99% of all unused stamps issued after 1935 are basically worth face value and sell at a percentage of face value. You can see rates here. The page with Louisana Purchase set and a couple others looks to have the most value, but would depend on condition. They appear to be hinge mounted so if sound that page may be worth $50-$75. The Franklin coil is often faked, so that would need to be examined and measured to determine a value. However it appears to be the 8.5 perf issue so it’s only worth a few dollars if authentic.
