Because there are different sales tax rates for every district, city, county, and state – sales tax is not calculated or added to transactions on Stamp Collectors.

It is up to each vendor to record, report, and pay the sales tax they owe to their city and state.

When it comes to online sales, most states in the United States only require that you pay sales tax on items you sell to people within your same state. Sales made to people outside of your state do not qualify for sales tax.

You can check to see how much you’ve sold per state:

1. Go to Selling > Sales Reports
2. Choose the Most Active Customer Locations tab.

If you are concerned about the volume of sales tax owed, you can “bake in” sales tax into the pricing of your items. Estimate the sales you expect to generate in your state, then calculate the sales tax. Then divide your total expected sales across all states by the calculated sales tax. You would add this fee to your current prices.
