Stamp Shows Near Me: 2026 and 2027 Show Calendar

stamp shows near me

Most stamp show calendars online are out of date, and the ones that are not out of date are usually incomplete. While building this page we found club sites still advertising shows from 2024, a regional federation calendar that stopped updating in 2025, three national listings that returned nothing at all, and one organizer whose own current-show page still displays the 2024 edition under a 2026 heading.

So we built ours from the sources with money riding on being right, which means dealer association schedules, where turning up on the wrong weekend costs somebody a table fee. Every show below carries a date checked against one of those, and where two sources disagree the listing says so rather than picking one and hoping. The page is reviewed monthly and the date of the last check sits at the bottom.

How the shows below are organized

Shows are grouped by state rather than by date, because a reader looking for a show is usually looking for one within driving distance, and inside each state the shows then run in date order.

Recurring bourses account for a large share of the listings, since the Texas Stamp Dealers Association runs a circuit across Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and Grapevine while two California bourses in Van Nuys and Anaheim run on a near-monthly schedule, so each of those is listed as a single entry carrying every scheduled date rather than as one entry per date.

What separates a bourse from an exhibition

The phrase stamp show covers two different kinds of event, and which one a visitor wants depends largely on whether that visitor is carrying material or hunting for it.

A bourse is a dealer floor and nothing more than a dealer floor, where dealers rent tables, dealers bring stock to those tables, and visitors spend the day buying, selling and having material looked at across them. Most of the one-day events in the state listings below are bourses, and the Texas Stamp Dealers Association circuit that accounts for a large share of them charges no admission at all.

An exhibition adds competitive frames to the dealer floor that a bourse provides on its own. Collectors mount material for judging, accredited judges award medals against published criteria, and the frames stay open to the public for the length of the show. WESTPEX in Burlingame runs over 250 frames of international exhibits alongside 70 dealers and asks $5 for all three days, with children under 15 admitted free when accompanied by an adult.

The largest exhibitions carry an American Philatelic Society designation called World Series of Philately, and roughly 31 of those are held across the United States in a year. The multi-frame grand award winner at each one is invited to the Champion of Champions competition at the annual APS show, which is the highest national exhibiting honor available and the reason the serious exhibits travel at all.

What a visit costs and what to bring

Admission runs from nothing to a few dollars rather than anything a visitor needs to budget around. The Texas Stamp Dealers Association shows in Houston, Dallas and San Antonio are free, the Great American Stamp Show is free, and WESTPEX at the upper end charges $5 for three days. Where a show on this page charges at all, the charge is stated on that show’s own website, which is linked from its entry.

A visitor bringing material to sell should bring the material sorted rather than loose, because dealers at a bourse work under time pressure and a dealer gives a more considered figure for a collection presented in albums or stockbooks than for the same collection tipped out of a shoebox. A visitor bringing material for identification should bring it in protective mounts, since handling by several people across a day damages unprotected stamps.

A visitor intending to buy should bring a want list carrying catalog numbers rather than descriptions, because a dealer holding stock in catalog order can answer a catalog number in seconds and cannot easily answer a description of a design. Catalog numbers can be established from the Scott stamp catalog reference and checked against recent sold prices on the stamp values tool before the drive rather than after it.

Missing a show

Know about a show that is not here. Send us the date, the city and a link through the support form and we will add it. This calendar only works because collectors tell us what we are missing, and the states with the thinnest coverage are exactly the ones where we most need the tip. Thirty states currently have nothing listed, and the Northeast outside New Jersey and Maine is the biggest gap.

Not near a show, or not wanting to wait. The marketplace runs every day of the year, and over 150,000 stamps are listed on it right now from dealers and collectors across the country, so if you are hunting something specific you do not have to wait for a Saturday in a hotel function room to find it.

Last checked on September 24, 2026, and reviewed again at the start of every month after that.
