While there are some valuable stamps from this country in this era, I do believe there are fakes in the marketplace. If they are original, you probably can get some money (like $200 or $300 and not thousands) for them. I did a quick search on Google based on the pictures you posted. 	Thansk for sharing! What you have here is a block of 8, 18 cent stamps. This block is also known as Scott #1919a issued in 1981 and commemorates our achievements in space at that time. In unused condition would be worth its face value in postage. This has a First Day cancelation on it. These are also known as First Day Covers, or FDC's. 	Gold plated replica stamps are novelty items. They actually only have a micron of gold which means it costs more in energy to extract it than what it's worth. So yes as @rsb_stamps said they don't have any real monetary value. But they are neat and pretty. 	@ryanjoneson I agree with you. Once I know the country I pull out my Scott's catalogs and verify the stamp and Scott's number. 	While some of these are over 100 years old, they are all common and have no monetary value unless graded. That said I agree with @rsb_stamps to enjoy them and possibly allow them to grow your curiosity into the hobby and learn more! 	Legally you cannot use Bulk or Nonprofit rate stamps as postage unless you have a matching account with USPS. That said, I've received lots of mail with those types of stamps on them and they seem to make it through. However you do run the risk of having it rejected. When it comes to selling those types of stamps, I do not include them in my face value postage lots. Nor other types like Postage Due etc. When it comes to the transportation coils that are not specialized, yes you can use fractional stamps.
